Performer, producer, and writer...overall storyteller.
Native to Chicago, I moved to LA to train at the Art of Acting conservatory and study the Stella Adler method. From there, I trained at Studio 4, learning the Meisner technique
Now, I use a mixture of practices when developing my characters: including script analysis, movement work, vocal training, impulsive reaction in the scene, and thorough character research.
Most recently I've dived into my new passions of writing and producing. My goal is to create/perform projects serving scripts that inspire, propel, and awaken thought.
ACT. INSPIRE. CREATE.
IN THE KNOW
I’m so fortunate to have an incredible job that I love which both challenges and fulfills me. Yet, none of what I do would be as meaningful to me without an audience to share it with. Stay up to date on all the latest news about the productions, events, and community work I’m involved with by having a look at the articles below.
Breach Hits Festivals
Breach is the first short film I wrote, produced, and starred in. Making this film was such an amazing journey and lesson (about the biz and myself).
What really made this extraordinary was the incredible cast and crew I was able to work with. I am truly grateful for the talent and effort they brought to this film.
I'm thrilled to announce that it's a semi-finalist in the Los Angeles CineFest and A Rebel Minded Fest. We are looking forward to what happens next..Stay tuned!
JACLYN WHITEHAIR WORKS WITH ART OF ELYSIUM
I started volunteering at the CHLA through the Art of Elysium program. It has been such an amazing experience to share my love for theatre and the arts with the kids at CHLA. Please check out their website and donate/volunteer if you can.
